Workshop In Shell Jewellery/Shell Artwork

As educators, Lupin Foundation and Bluntedge were just tools in the hands of a group of extraordinary learners, women hailing from a remote village Vengurla in the Konkan region. The idea was to enable them to produce something sitting at home and be a part of the local as well the global online market. These strong willed women who once had no knowledge about the craft and very little exposure to the products that sell in a modern world, came forward with a purpose – to learn. They put their heart and soul into the craft and grasped the ideas of aesthetics and design to the core. They understood the taste of the buyers and decided to make something original for them. They lived their lives making homes in the village but always kept the artists alive in them.

These artists brought with them their passion to create and we gave them the resources and the direction. These products that you see are a result of such an endeavour. We are extremely proud of our happy learners.

These shining crafted jewellery pieces have stories to tell that go beyond craftsmanship, skills, and the beauty they radiate. They are pleasing to one’s heart and soothing to one’s eyes. They cause temptation, prompt a desire of possession and impress the beholder. They are made mainly from sea-shells making it possible for one to wear the nature on oneself.
